Hamlet Mount Waverley

This cafe is a must visit! Such a fantastic cafe on a quaint strip, the dishes and drinks were all so delicious. I ordered the special chicken satay which was out of this world! The service was incredible, it’s the best spot for weekend brunch with friends! Really recommend everyone to come!!

From the moment we walked in it felt warm and inviting. The staff were wonderful and attentive and service was very speedy. Coffee was great, food scrumptious. Table was on the smaller side, but it was ok. Will definitely be returning

First time here. Love finding new places when out and about. This place didn't disappoint. Light and bright inside and staff were so nice. I had the banana waffles - very yum.

Came for brunch with my husband and really appreciated how friendly and lovely the staff were! They were quick to serve us even though we sat outside. We had the baked eggs and fried chicken Benedict and loved it. Really great atmosphere and space, we will be coming back xx

I’ve had so many friends recommend me this cafe and must say I’m not surprised - food is great, dog friendly and the service was lovely - definitely a local favourite for those living in the Mount Waverley area! We tried the- ▪Chilli Scrambled Eggs ($22.90) Mushroom, broccolini, feta, soft herbs, chilli oil on buttered sourdough ▪Fried Chicken Benny ($22.90) Fried chicken, kimchi potato rosti, poached egg, soy hollandaise, mizuna ▪Delice Raspberry Pistachio ($6.50) ▪Caramel Slice ($5.50) ▫Long Black ($4.70) I ordered the chilli scrambled egg and thought the portion size was perfect and well flavoured- the combination of the spice, mushroom and broccolini was a good addition to your usual scrambled eggs and it definitely cured my comfort food, spicy, oily, tasty brunch cravings. A delicious plate of food complemented with a good cup of coffee, finished off with a sweet treat and a lots of friendly doggos- what a way to start the weekend!

I absolutely love Hamlet — I go every morning for my mocha (and sometimes after school for an iced one), and I usually have breakfast there right when they open. Since I go to school nearby, it’s the perfect spot to start and end my day. It’s always quiet and peaceful in the mornings with a bunch of regulars, and even when it gets busy during lunch, the food and service are still amazing. There’s plenty of seating — outside for sunny days, a cosy inside space for winter, and a nice back area too. The dishes are always well thought out, with a wide variety that suits everyone. The staff honestly make the experience even better — Felicia, Hannah, Liana, and the chef always take care of me and make me feel welcome. Plus, Felicia has the cutest baby ever, which just makes the place even more wholesome. They’ve even got baby seats if you’re bringing little ones, and the water they serve is Purezza (not just plain tap), which is such a small detail but really shows how much care they put into everything. Hamlet feels like a second home to me, and I can’t recommend it enough. Hamlet is home.
